Multiple sources confirm that Nesterczuk, who was nominated in May, is no longer in the running to head OPM. A White House spokesman would neither confirm nor deny Nesterczuk’s decision, saying only the administration doesn’t comment on personnel issues.Assuming that the news plays out, the President still would have an OPM Deputy Director nomination before the Senate, Michael Rigas. In the meantime, Kathleen McGettigan remains acting OPM Director.

Rumbling
Federal News Radio is reporting this morning that the President's nominee for OPM Director George Nesterczuk has withdrawn his name from consideration.
